Top 10 K1 fighters of all time

2 18,860

After I published my 1st blog post of the top 10 kickboxers, using mathematical criteria to choose the fighters. I received many comments and messages from guys mentioning real great fighters that didn’t include in my list. And Some of them were very angry about that!

I knew and mentioned that in the 1st of my blog that no criteria will meet all the opinions or even my opinion! The great fighters selection will vary according to the criteria that we use to choose them. And the opinions will always be different on that.

One of the comments on the related video on YouTube convinced me to write again about this topic. Because I found that the mathematical method will never show the great fighters. some fighters are great in the fans minds but if we applied our criteria on them, they will never be in the top 10 list.

So, I decide to choose another top 10 list, focusing this time on the K1 fighters. I used different criteria this time to choose the top 10 K1 fighters, which is “No criteria!”. Yes, I asked, collected the opinions and chose from them.

How did I select the fighters?!

I submitted some questions in Quora, Reddit, Facebook groups, and collected the names that guys mentioned. most of them were repeated, so I knew that the top 10 K1 fighters won’t be out of these names.

I chose and sorted the top 10 K1 fighters from my point of view, and I’ll mention the rest in an Honorary List. Feel free to sort them into any order you want, and mention your list in a comment to collect more opinions.

Again, the opinions must vary on this, as it’s very hard to make people agree on something like that. So it would be good to collect many different opinions.

Almost each of these fighters has fought the other 4 or at least faced the guy who’s beaten the guy. The 5 fighters are (Kraus, Souwer, Masato, Buakaw, and Petrosyan).

Albert has defeated Souwer once and lost to him once. Defeated Masato twice and lost to him once, plus one draw. Defeated Buakaw twice and lost to him twice. But he lost to Petrosyan in their 2 fights.
